Partial resumption of visa services at Czech Embassy, New Delhi

     Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi is partly resuming the visa services, starting from September 1, 2020. Visa applications will be received in a limited extent in accordance with the latest update of the protective measures (may be seen at https://www.mzcr.cz/ochranne-opatreni-omezeni-prekroceni-statni-hranice-cr-s-ucinnosti-od-24-8-2020/)

     Following categories of applicants are entitled to apply Czech visa:

SCHENGEN VISAS:

a) Acceptance of fresh applications:

● family members of EU / Czech Republic citizens
● in the interest of the Czech Republic
● international transport workers
● critical infrastructure workers
● diplomats and officials of international organizations
● seasonal workers (based on Decree of the Ministry of Labor and Social Services No.322/2017Coll.)
● health and social services employees
● food processing employees
● employees in scientific, key and highly qualified professions fulfilling conditions of the Highly Qualified Worker Program and Key and Research Staff Program

bApplications lodged before the state of emergency:

Processing of Schengen visa applications lodged before the state of emergency and subsequent suspension of visa services, i.e. before March 14, 2020, that were not decided, will not be renewed. Applicants who find themselves in this situation, can lodge their new applications free of charge.

LONG-TERM VISAS AND RESIDENCE PERMITS:

a) Acceptance of fresh applications for

● LONG-TERM VISA FOR THE PURPOSE OF SEASONAL EMPLOYMENT (based on Decree of the Ministry of Labor and Social Services No. 322/2017 Coll.)
● SPECIAL WORK VISA
● Visas / residence permits within the KEY AND SCIENTIFIC PERSONNEL PROGRAM, including family members
● Visas / residence permits within the HIGHLY QUALIFIED EMPLOYEES PROGRAM, including family members
● Visas / residence permits within the PROGRAM QUALIFIED EMPLOYEE
● LONG- TERM RESIDENCE PERMITS FOR THE PURPOSE OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCHand applications for long-term residence permits of their spouses and minor children
● LONG-TERM AND PERMANENT RESIDENCE PERMITS FOR THE PURPOSE OF FAMILY UNIFICATION, but only if the family unification involves spouses and minor children of foreign nationals who already reside in the Czech Republic on a basis of a long-term or permanent residence permit; other family members cannot file these applications at the moment
● LONG-TERM VISAS FOR THE FAMILY PURPOSE, but only if the family unification involves spouses and minor children of foreign nationals who already reside in the Czech Republic on a basis of a long-term or permanent residence permit; other family members cannot file these applications at the moment
● LONG-TERM VISAS FOR THE PURPOSE OF STUDY and RESIDENCE PERMITS FOR THE PURPOSE OF STUDY
● LONG-TERM VISAS FOR THE PURPOSE OF OTHER, but only for educational activities
LONG-TERM VISAS FOR THE PURPOSE OF CULTURE, SPORTS and WORKING HOLIDAY
● PERMANENT RESIDENCE PERMITS FOR COMPATRIOTS (based on decree no. 1014/2014)
● LONG-TERM VISAS AND RESIDENCE PERMITS IF THE FOREIGN NATIONAL´S STAY IS IN THE INTEREST OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC and is supported by a corresponding document
● visas for the purpose of collecting residence permits (the so-called D/VR type visa) – the so-called VISA STICKER TRANSFER – for any purpose of stay

b) Resumption of processing of applications:
Processing of all applications for long-term visas and residence permits that have been lodged before March 14, 2020 will be resumed (i.e. examining of those applications that have been filed before the state of emergency and subsequent suspension of visa services will be resumed) from September 01, 2020.

     All applicants need to contact Czech Embassy, New Delhi for appointment. The appointments will be allocated on first-come-first-serve basis.
